A: TuneWiki plays the music files you have locally on your device. To get music on your Blackberry, connect it to your computer and either use the Blackberry Desktop Manager or mount your device as an external drive. Read more on the blackberry FAQ
Q: How do I get TuneWiki to see my music?
A: When you run TuneWiki on your device it will scan for all locally available music, both on your device and on any memory card that is installed and enabled in it.
Q: TuneWiki is telling me that no lyrics can be found. How do I add them?
A: Make a topic in the Request Lyrics section of the forum with the Title of the song, the album and the artist as well as the full lyrics. Once that is submitted then an Editor can upload them to our servers for you.
Q: TuneWiki is telling me that no lyrics can be found for the song I am listening to, but I can see them on your website!
A: Make sure you have provided the same details for the song on your device as you have on the website. If the song URL on the website contains the album name then you must make sure the song on the BlackBerry also has the album name in it.
The spelling must match the spelling on the website. If you find a song title, album or artist name that has been spelt incorrectly then you should let an Editor know in the Request Lyrics section of the forums.
Q: Where do I register for a username and password?
A: To create a new user go to the TuneWiki Website and click on sign-up on the top right-hand corner of the page.
Q: Where do I go if I still need help using TuneWiki for Blackberry after reading the TuneWiki for BlackBerry FAQ?
A: The TuneWiki for BlackBerry Support & Feedback Forum
Q: Where do I report any bugs I find in TuneWiki for BlackBerry?
A: The TuneWiki Bug Tracker for BlackBerry.
Q: TuneWiki is not retrieving the lyrics. Do I need to uninstall the app then redownload?
A: There are a few reasons why lyrics would not be retrieved:
- Your music files are missing the artist/title information
- You do not have a dataplan (this is unlikely with a blackberry, but possible)
- Your data plan is limited to certain applications/protocols (you can check with your service provider about this)
- You are using an enterprise data connection that is limited by the company (check with your system administrator)
Q: How do I remove (uninstall) TuneWiki from my device?
Menu (Blackberry Menu Button) > Options (The Wrench Icon) > Advanced Options > Applications
A progress bar will appear as the phone loads the list of installed programs. Once it is done loading the list will appear on the screen. To remove an application simply scroll down to the application in the list, after making sure the desired app is highlighted hit the Blackberry menu button. Another list in the bottom left will provide you with more options regarding the management of applications; simply scroll down to the delete option and select it. Select yes when prompted if you are sure you want to remove the app, and the application will then be uninstalled.
