It appears that TuneWiki uses the artist field instead of the sort artist field. That is, bands like "The Beatles" are sorted under "T" instead of "B". Is this a known issue? This is on an iPhone 3Gs with OS 3.1.3 and TuneWiki version 0.3.4 .

Thanks!

P.S. TuneWiki is awesome!

Thanks for commenting. Yes this is a known issue, unfortunately we don't have full access to every piece of information for your music files. The sort artist field is one of the fields we don't have access to. So, rather than try to reverse engineer all of the ways apple sorts band names in every supported language, we just go ahead and sort it in "natural" order. Even this has some issues, but we continue to try to make the app better.

If you're really into the technical stuff -- here is a list of what we CAN access through the iPhone SDK.

Keep on rocking TuneWiki, and we promise we'll keep on making it better!
