Please note: Moderators are not TuneWiki staff members. They are great members of our community and should be respected.
The TuneWiki Staff & Moderators consistently put in an effort towards making the TuneWiki Forums a better place, and by following the official forum rules, you're doing your part as a member. The rules are clearly outlined below. We advise that you take a moment to review the rules below as we will not accept the "I didn't know" excuse.
Disciplinary Actions
All posts that are violating any part of the TuneWiki Official Forum Rules or TuneWiki Terms of Service will result in some sort of Disciplinary Action. The forum moderator dealing with the incident will distribute a warning. In the warning it will state what rule(s) was/were broken and (if appropriate) how it was broken.
At the discretion of the moderator dealing with the incident, the user breaking the rules may also receive a suspension from the forums and/or the removal of his or her posting rights.
The general warning thresholds are as follows, but the final decision is down the moderator attending the incident:
1st Warning: Warning
2nd Warning: Posting rights removed for 3 days
3rd Warning: Suspension for 7 days
4th Warning: Suspension for 14 days
5th Warning: Indefinite Suspension/Ban
This is simply a guideline for moderators. The moderator dealing with the incident will determine how serious the infraction of the rule is and will make his or her own judgment as to the disciplinary action taken.
Actions that will result in a warning:
1: Double posting/thread bumping
Intentionally double posting for the purpose to "bump" a thread, whether your own thread that hasn't received enough attention, or an extremely old thread, may result in disciplinary action.

2: Misleading help to users
Intentionally misleading other members is not a good way to contribute to the community.
3: Off-topic posting
We allow off-topic chat in the appropriate sections, although certain discussions are prohibited everywhere:
- Discussions surrounding politics and/or religion
- Soliciting, asking for donations and/or begging for money
- Steering a thread significantly away from its original topic
4: Advertising
We do not permit any form of advertising on these forums. If you are unsure if you are allowed to post something or not then you should ask us.
5: The posting of obscene/pornographic material
This includes extremely obscene language. We trust our users to be tasteful, so we do not filter swearing, but we may warn/infract at our discretion.
6: The posting or discussion of illegal or pirated material
This includes the private redistribution of any TuneWiki application. TuneWiki only endorses the download of its applications from 'tunewiki.com', 'forums.tunewiki.com', 'support.tunewiki.com' or any of the respective official device application markets (eg. AppStore on the iPhone).
Furthermore, anything that is illegal by United States law may not be discussed. This includes (but is not limited to):
- Illegal drugs
- Fraud
7: Inciting unrest on the forums
Encouraging users to break the rules, registering multiple accounts to circumvent bans, and other such activities will be swiftly stopped.
Just to be clear, creating another account to avoid a ban will result in permanent bans of all accounts. If you are sharing a computer or internet connection with another user of this site, please be especially mindful of the rules, as any ban on your account may also affect the other user unfairly.
8: Flaming, trolling, insulting other members, excessive immaturity, etc.
At the full discretion of the moderator, anti-social behaviors will be disciplined. We want a pleasant environment for the majority of the community that are here for help (or to help) and enjoyment.
9: Violation of the TuneWiki Terms of Service or Privacy Policy
The TOS & Privacy Policy can be viewed at: http://www.tunewiki.com/legal/
10: Lack of common sense
Please use your common sence when using the forums.
11: Use of languages other than English
Please only use English in the forums (Private Messages excepted).
Please note:
The 'report' button is to only be used to report a violating post. If you have any other concerns, feel free to send a private message to one of our staff. They all have yellow group names and the TuneWiki logo in their group tag. Misuse of the report button will result in disciplinary action.
These rules may be updated at any time without notice. Although we will strive to give notice when it is updated, it is still your duty to check them periodically. The rules can always be found at the top of the Company Announcements section of the forums.
